How To Join

A federal credit union may serve only those persons within its field of membership, as granted by the National Credit Union Administration. You can become a member by completing a Membership Application and purchasing at least one $5 share.

 

You are eligible for membership in Sea West if you, or an immediate family member, belongs to any one of the following groups:

 

1) All Honorably Discharged Veterans from any branch of the United States Military

 

2) Employees of the U.S. Government, Department of Homeland Security

 

Including the United States Government:

 

  • Coast Guard
  • Custom & Border Protection
  • Federal Emergency Management Agency
  • Transportation Security Administration
  • Citizenship & Immigration Services
  • Immigration & Customs Enforcement
  • Secret Service

 

3) Members of:

 

  • U.S. Coast Guard Reserve
  • U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary
  • Navy League of the United States

 

4) Military Retirees:

 

  • Military Retirees from all branches of the U.S. Armed Forces

 

5) Association Membership:

 

  • Members of certain trade or homeowners associations

 

6) Select Employee Group (SEG) Membership:

 

  • Employees of certain Select Employer Groups including North Bay Industries working on TRACEN Petaluma Base

 

7) Family Membership:

 

Immediate family members of any individual qualified to join Sea West may join. Immediate family is considered:

 

  • Spouse
  • Children
  • Parents
  • Grandparents
  • Grandchildren
  • Siblings (Brothers or Sisters)

 

“Family” also includes a person who is living as a single economic unit in the same residence as the primary member, including domestic partners and legal guardians of those eligible for membership.

 

Once an immediate family or household member joins then that person’s immediate family would be eligible to join. And so on, and so on, and so on!
